Hailing from the early days of Joseff's retail range [1940s] this really wonderful multichain necklace is fantastic in its use of different links and the acorn pendant is a different finish to the rest giving it a little more glimmer than the rest. This necklace, although 'antique gold' and can easliy be worn today. ‘Eugene Joseff created ‘Joseff of Hollywood’ jewellery for the movies from 1935 until his death in 1948. His wife Joan Castle carried on his work thereafter. They had a huge collection of original pieces that they hired for films and also used as inspiration for their extremely popular retail line, which simplified the styles of the originals but retained the Russian gilding which Joseff developed allowing cameras to film the jewels without glare, and allowing each wearer a special piece of that Hollywood glamour and celebrity seen in the original films.
