These lovely drop earrings are a classic of their genre. Hattie Carnegie had designed for her famous American boutiques many wonderfully inventive jewellery lines, and these earrings come from a collection suggestive of Renaissance jewels. There were several pins in the shape of Lions or Mermen with large baroque pearl bodies. These earrings come from the late 1950s collection featuring Lions. A lovely combination of cream enamel and lustrous pearls are offset by brightly coloured small rhinestones.  These earrings are unsigned however they are a complete match to the Lion brooch.
