French 1950s delightfully coloured paste earrings

French 1950s delightfully coloured paste earrings

£195.00

These lovely coloured paste earring, possibly made by French parurier Francoise Montague. Sitting well on the ear lobes and hanging down in triangular points these earrings are very three dimensional. A joy to wear and bringing out the particular hue of most eye colours, they are great on blondes or brunettes and spectacular on redheads. What more could one ask from a single pair or earrings? Francoise Montague took over a business created by her mother, creating colourful and glamorous necklaces, often with drops suspended, made from assorted shaped glass and discs, with distinctive chain and metal work. The atelier was then bought, and continues today, by Marion Stern, whose parents were also in the jewellery business. The house still produces its own range, using rondelles, chains and glass beads, glamorous and playful, selling through her shop in rue Saint-Honore, Paris, as well as through carefully selected high end shops and boutiques throughout the world.
