A pair of handblown glass pearl and enamelled gilt hat pins, 19th Century

A pair of handblown glass pearl and enamelled gilt hat pins, 19th Century

£235.00

These hat pins are a rare survival of mid 19th century dress ornament. The blown glass pearls normally get broken but these are all intact on both pins. The rings of gilt metal are engraved, and then cold enamelled in a soft moss green. They could be worn as brooches, or turned into pendants or earrings - otherwise they would happily augment any Victorian jewellery collection.
