The star motif was very popular in England in the 1870s. This is a lovely large example which would be a fantastic Christmas present. The paste has that lovely soft lead crystal glow and all are original and in good condition. The domed shape means they catch the light at all angles. It was once gold washed on the back which remains but is a soft glow of gold being so old. Altogether as lovely now as it was when first made.
